The IEC Foundation recognizes you are part of our success and that of countless professionals and students in the electrical industry. The support we have received in the past is truly appreciated and we are grateful for your continued support of our mission to serve.
The Home Depot Grant
With proceeds from the Home Depot Rewards Program, the Foundation Board voted to provide funding supporting the development and improvement of IEC training centers, labs, and classrooms. The intent of this grant is to upgrade the educational experience of both apprentices and continuing education attendees. Funding is intended to be a resource outside of normal operations and the IECF equipment grant program. The application and announcement for this was sent out on March 6, 2017. Reach out to your local chapters for more information.
The Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the IEC Foundation Scholarship Fund is to provide annual need-based scholarships to further the academic goals of students that are in an IEC-approved apprenticeship program or similar post-secondary education. Scholarship awards range from $500 up to a maximum of $1,500, and they are to be used for tuition and books. Awards for each scholarship winner will be paid directly to the winner's IEC training center/college for their benefit. The application for this was sent out on March 8, 2017. Reach out to your local chapters for more information.
Words from the Chairman
"I am extremely honored to Chair the IECF and continue the work that a small group of IEC contractors and visionaries had back the Foundation was founded. Being able to work with the IECF Board of Directors to develop programs to benefit our members, students and chapters such as our Scholarship Program, The Home Depot Pro extra Program and our Equipment grant program is truly amazing." - Greg Haren
Greg Haren also served as a past IEC president.
